Paralyzed is the third single from my upcoming debut album. A very personal journey to the depths of nihilism. After four years I still cannot accept the fact that we’re nothing more than animals. That existence of a single life means nothing compared to the age of the universe.
As Horace states, one shall not wholly die thanks to his art. Today, with all the knowledge about the age of the universe, about the perspective for the next millions, billions of years, this quote seems more like a delusion that gives us a peace of mind. ‘Omnis moriar’, the second title of the song, is an inevitable conclusion when looking at the reality from a wider perspective than our human’s.
It is sad and so far away from the child’s point of view – but maybe that’s what adulthood is? Or maybe you become an adult when you accept the way things are and try living in the here and now, without unrealistic dreams and expectations? I don’t know that yet, for now it just makes me sad.
